I've wasted plenty of time on people not worth it, and so many others make the same mistake! One of the most important parts of our lives are the people we surround ourselves with, and it's important to have those people be the best for you – you're the average of those you spend time with!

Attracting people worth your time isn't as difficult as it seems, and it's totally worth it! If you want to boost your confidence to attract people who are worth your time (instead of time wasters), you are in turn wasting your own time.

The only way to elevate your group is to stay away time wasters in the first place. You don't need confidence to do this, you just need courage, clear boundaries, and a plan.

Be aware of who is wasting your time. Call upon your courage, speak up, and let them know you aren’t available. If you must speak with them set boundaries and let them know what that is, five minutes, ten minutes, only text messages, or quick phone calls. Once their time is up move on. Plan what you're going to say and stick to that plan.

Next, strategize where you'll find the people you want to hang out with. The ones that'll elevate you and help you grow. When meeting these people be authentic, let them know you're looking to better yourself, that you respect and admire where they're at, and that you'd love to learn from them. This truly will attract people worth your time.

People love being admired and looked at as a source of learning and growth. It's ok to boost their egos, just don't come across as needy or codependent. Also, respect their time, take their advice (once you've deemed them as a credible and reliable source), thank them for their support, and follow up with your success stories.

Over time your confidence will naturally grow as the people who elevate you will support, uplift, and guide you to a better place.

However you do it, remember to pay it forward. Once you're in a great place, be the mentor and support for someone else looking to elevate their group as you've done in the past. Always use your experience and to help others!
